Summary:  Satisfy customer requirements by providing information necessary to book new orders, service existing accounts and solicit for new customers while maintaining corporate established profit goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process customer quotes and bid proposals including annual contract agreements.
  • Meet customer deadlines for RFQ’s and on-time delivery
  • Provide customers with sales information, value-added services and information on new products as they become available.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers through interaction with Territory Managers, Vendors, and sales representatives.
  • Maintain and apply product knowledge through catalogs, inter-office meetings, and sales and product training.
  • Must have the ability to develop new business and product opportunities while maintaining and increasing existing business.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, sales reps, and engineers.  Record pertinent information in the company CRM system.
  • Maintain a satisfactory level of computer operating skills including data entry, spreadsheets, word documents and the ability to navigate the Internet.
  • Review customer on-time and quality reports as they are sent and take action as necessary.
  • Interact with the purchasing, shipping and quality departments to insure an efficient flow of sales transactions.
  • Interact with the accounting department in establishing new customer accounts and addressing credit issues on existing accounts.
  • Respond to factory sales leads.
  • Be familiar with the proper routing of rejected materials paperwork.
  • Understand Quality systems procedures and requirements.
  • Aid other departments in new sales forecasting, product review, and inventory planning as required.
  • Make telemarketing sales calls as directed by Management.
  • Having a strong product knowledge in fasteners and electro-mechanical components.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in relation to company’s product offering and services performed by Aero-Space Southwest, Inc.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret specifications, customer drawings, and schematics.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization. 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram from. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

Computer/System Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
