Brass made cable glands can improve PERFECT metal cable glands particularly from the small proportions of lead as a third component. For instance, CuZn39Pb3, can be resistant to water, vapor, and saline solutions, as well as many organic fluids. Surface will normally be galvanized for better anti-corrosion. Sometimes nickel plate is also available as the decorative function. Plastics and polymer materials are also used in almost every area of life and industry these days. There are many positive technical properties, such as moldability, elasticity, breaking resistance, rigidity, temperature and heat resistance, and chemical resistance, which can be varied greatly through the raw materials selection, the manufacturing procedure and the incorporation of additives.

WADI Family 

WADI family including WADIone, WADIrail and WADIheat, WADI highlights the series by means of sealing inserts and gland bodies. A two-part design from the sealing inserts has a large clamping range. The contact spring can be installed in all gland bodies. Protection rate is IP66, IP67 and IP69. Size range is from M12 to M63 with eight different threads to form the basis for the unique allocation of each component.

This type of cable gland is made of brass with sealing insert from fire resistant level. The application temperature range is between -60ºC and +100ºC, which is used often in railway and rail vehicles, electrical installations and tunnel constructions or other outdoor applications where fire resistance, UV protection, weathering and temperature are crucial.

In addition, the KADL can be enlarged and adjusted. The modular structure allows a step-by-step installation of 5 to 25 cables into a housing wall and ensures flexibility. With only 16 grommets, which provide a high strain relief, a clamping range from 3 to 32.5 mm can be covered.

Including G501, G502, G503, G504, G506 and G507, G500 series offers you an exceptionally large cable span. The “pushout” membrane provides a round opening. G500 is equipped with a sock that closes tight around the cable, so that it allows for movement under protection grades. Cables can pass through very well at an angle. The design makes sure that the grommet stays in place, even for large cables installation.

Jacob venting elements
Waterproof enclosures with high protection grades IP67 or IP68 for outdoor use are not automatically sealed against vapor and humidity. To avoid negative pressure, high humidity and condensation inside the enclosure a continuous ventilation and pressure equilibrium is necessary. This protection function can be achieved by using a venting element, quick and easy to install.
The body of the venting element is made from a flameproof polyamide PA6 or Inox. Inside is a high-quality, breathable and watertight PES-membrane, which provides a continuous ventilation and pressure exchange and ventilation between the enclosure and its surroundings and ensures protection against humidity.
