Summary: Under the supervision of the SMR Manager, Sourcing Coordinator will identify the need for new products and new/ additional suppliers for Bossard America. Contributes to identification of new emerging markets and market opportunity. Analyzing “New” customer demand for 1st implementation orders, initiates actions to procure needed materials for such orders, manages all “Trial Orders” for new sources and products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in managing orders for new business implementation.
- Works with implementation team to develop action plans to initiate first buy for New Customer.
- Maintains appropriate records to support material acquisition decision and to perform related analyses as needed.
- Assists and manages processing PPAP’s and PPW’S for Implementation Orders.
- Choose possible sources using the BIPS, Smart Purchasing and Corporate Purchasing input. Send vendor quote requests to vendors of choice via email or fax. Request vendor PPAP as needed.
- Supplier Development
- Coordinate market test of catalog groups for world market pricing.
- Place and tracks Trail Orders for New Supplier Development as well as follows up with buyers on new development projects.
- Special Projects and other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
An Associate’s degree with 2-5 years of experience is desired and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedures manuals and contracts. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees of organization
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
