bigHead® fasteners stand out from the crowd thanks to their ingenious design and versatile use.  All bigHeads consist of a wide load-distributing head combined with a functional fixing like a threaded stud or collar, or an unthreaded pin. The fastener is installed during (co-process) or after (post-process) the manufacture of the parent component, creating a secure connection point.

Design and Installation of bigHead® Fasteners

How Do You Use bigHead® Fasteners?

With bigHead® embedding and surface bonding fasteners, you have two options when it comes to the installation:

  • Installation during the manufacturing process (co-process): With this highly efficient option, the installation of the fastener is integrated into the manufacturing process of the parent component. This is ideal for manufacturers focused on simplifying component design and maximizing production efficiency.
  • Subsequent installation (post-process): With this option, the fasteners are bonded onto the surface of the parent component after manufacture. This is ideal for manufacturers needing maximum flexibility of component design and versatility of fastener installation.
