Komax success storyKomax Wire develops and manufactures innovative wire processing systems for international customers in the automotive, electronics and appliance industries. The Swiss-based company is one of the market leaders and has offices in 60 countries. A few years ago, Komax decided to modernize its C-part management to streamline procedures and to better serve the technicians on the assembly lines. At that time, the company had 40 different suppliers for 2,000 C-parts. Managing the various C-parts was a full-time job for one Komax employee; additional resources from other departments were needed for procurement, invoicing and inventory management.

Solution
Bossard offered a comprehensive solution to Komax’s C-part management, including the SmartBin technology that ensures lean inventory levels and automatic reordering, and thus avoids stock-outs. Bossard now delivers its high quality C-parts to Komax production facilities in Switzerland, France, the USA, China, and Malaysia.

After assigning the C-part supply and management to Bossard, the Komax employee who had previously worked on the task was able to commit to other important responsibilities within Komax.
