Additional information

For each thread size a separate tool is needed. Supply possibilities for metric fine thread M10x1 & M12x1 on request.

Functional Principle

1. Operation:

1.1 Hold the tool body with the left hand and screw the TUBTARA rivet nut onto the mandrel using the right hand. The mandrel must protrude at least 1 mm beyond the nut. Applying a drop of oil to the mandrel thread facilitates assembly and removal.

1.2 Insert the tool with the rivet nut into the prepared hole. Attach the ratchet wrench to the hexagonal drive of the tool body. Insert the hex socket wrench into the internal hex of the mandrel holder.

1.3 Set the rivet nut by turning the ratchet wrench clockwise while holding the tool body stationary with the socket wrench. The setting process is complete once a firm and uniform bulge has formed. For blind applications, a trial installation in a pre-drilled sheet of identical thickness is recommended.

1.4 To release the tool, switch the ratchet using the push button and turn it counterclockwise while holding the socket wrench.

2. Maintenance: After setting 20-30 nuts, apply several drops of high-quality machine oil to the mandrel thread and periodically to the sliding surfaces between the mandrel and tool body.
