DURBAL® Rod Ends Overview

Classic Line

The DURBAL® Classic Line with integrated plain bearings is characterized by a high load-bearing capacity, making it ideal for light swiveling or tilting motions at low speeds. The completely maintenance-free design can accommodate and trap any foreign particles, preventing damage. The version with pressed bearings is used for alternating or shock loads, which are preferred for large swivel movements, and is also suitable for limited rotational movements. The joint ball with hard-chrome plating minimizes friction and protects against corrosion.

Features:

  • Maintenance-free
  • With integrated or pressed spherical plain bearings
  • Available with left-hand and right-hand threads
  • Available with internal and external threads
  • Materials: Steel, stainless steel

Premium Line

Two Durbal premium rod ends with spherical self-aligning roller bearings on white background

Premium rod ends with spherical roller bearings are used at high speeds, for large swivel angles, or for rotational movements under high loads, a capability largely facilitated by their higher load ratings. The second design with self-aligning bearings is also used for high speeds, but additionally for large swivel angles or rotational movements with relatively low or medium loads. The special heat treatment of both ball bearing types gives the raceway a hardness that largely prevents friction.

Features:

  • Maintenance-free
  • Self-aligning
  • Prevent contamination from entering the bearings
  • Low friction
  • Stable under varying loads
  • Available with left-hand and right-hand threads
  • Available with internal and external threads
  • Materials: Steel, stainless steel
