July 22, 2019 - ad hoc announcement

The Bossard Group has completed the acquisition of the Boysen distribution business of the German AQUAERO Group (owner of SACS Boysen Aerospace Group) announced on June 24, 2019. With this acquisition Bossard significantly expands its presence in the aerospace industry.

Founded in 1967, the distribution company Boysen has a superior reputation for highquality fastening solutions and is characterized by a large international customer base. Boysen, headquartered in Munich, employs 54 people and generates an annual sales equivalent of CHF 29 million. The company has further locations in Hamburg, Germany and Irving (Texas), USA. Boysen’s main sales market is Europe.

In recent years, the Bossard Group has shown substantial commitment to building up its expertise in the aerospace industry. In 2015, it acquired US distributor Aero-Space Southwest Inc. In 2016, Bossard received its official aerospace certification for France and Switzerland, as well as recently in Italy. Bossard believes that based on the quality of its fastening solutions and engineering services as well as its proven expertise and innovation strength in the field of logistics solutions it will be able to unlock additional development and growth potential in this demanding industry. In this respect, the completed acquisition may be seen as an important element in Bossard’s long-term strategy.
