Aviation certification EN 9100:2018 for 3d-prototyp GmbH in Switzerland

november 09, 2020

Expansion of the aerospace sector: Switzerland's first 3D printing service provider with aviation certification EN 9100:2018

"Our parts fly since 2006"

3d-prototyp GmbH, a Bossard company, has received the official aviation certification EN 9100:2018 in Switzerland. The seal of approval is a prerequisite for supplying the aerospace industry with 3D printed components.

Although a forward-looking technology, additive manufacturing is still used very little in Switzerland. Since October 2020, 3d-prototyp GmbH has been the only 3D printing service provider in Switzerland that is certified according to EN 9100 and already has many years of experience in the production of aerospace parts using high-performance materials (Ultem TM 9085, Ultem TM 1010, Nylon 12, Nylon 12CF).

As a competent partner in additive manufacturing, we support you in the realization of your high-quality aerospace components. With our 3D printing solutions, we produce airworthy parts from durable and certified materials. Our 3D printer portfolio includes the Stratasys Fortus F900, the largest installation space in Switzerland for aerospace parts (914 x 609 x 914 mm).

In our competence center in Dietikon we rely on real and practical experience. This gives our customers the unique opportunity to directly experience innovative technologies such as 3D scanning, 3D printing, MultiMaterial-Welding or bonding. The ideas of our customers are the incentive for us to implement them with a perfectly tailored solution. Our highest principle is product-neutral, demand-oriented consulting. We also offer complete solutions in the aerospace sector with KVT locking, fastening and bonding technology.
